Max (3) and Cecee (5 months)

Meet Max and Cecee

Max (3 years old) and Cecee (5 months) are a sweet sibling duo looking for an adoptive family who can offer them the safe, nurturing, and consistent love they deserve.

Max –  A loveable, cheeky, happy chappie

This playful little man is full of joy and energy. He loves to play – building tall towers with his bricks, dancing to Bluey, scooting around outside and splashing in water (his absolute favourite!). He’s also developing a real love of stories and enjoys being read to at quiet times.

Despite a difficult start in life, Max has made wonderful progress. Prior to entering foster care, he didn’t have much structure, but he’s now starting to understand and accept routines and boundaries. His foster carers say he’s doing really well and has formed positive attachments with them—he even gives them a little kiss goodbye before visits.

Max is a great eater—he feeds himself confidently and enjoys a wide range of foods including pasta, vegetables, jelly, and his favourites: spaghetti, sausage and bacon! He winds down with In the Night Garden or Paw Patrol and he’s thriving in a consistent and secure environment.

His early life had a number of challenges and while he is developing well, it’s important to note that some developmental impacts may emerge as he grows. His speech is being monitored and we’re seeking adopters who can confidently advocate for him in any medical or educational needs that arise.

Most of all, Max needs parents who will be patient, loving, and therapeutic in their approach, helping him grow into his full potential with a strong sense of identity and self-worth.

Cecee – A beautiful bundle of joy

Cecee is a sweet and content little baby who truly lights up the room. Her foster carers describe her as “a beautiful bundle of joy.” who loves cuddles, enjoys being held and has begun to recognise and respond to familiar voices – her bond with her carers and with Max is growing stronger every day.

Cecee loves her pushchair walks and the gentle motion of waves and vibrations often help to soothe her. Bath time is one of her favourite parts of the day—it’s part of her calming bedtime routine and she visibly relaxes in the water.

She was discharged from hospital straight into the care of her foster carers, where she joined her big brother Max. She’s currently on high-energy feeds to support her weight gain and her development is progressing well. The health visitor is pleased with her progress and she is increasingly spending longer periods awake and engaging with the world around her.

Cecee’s needs are being consistently met and she is thriving in her current placement. She is forming strong attachments and is a true delight to care for.

What kind of family do they need?

We are looking for a couple who can offer both Max and Cecee the safe, stable and loving environment they need to continue flourishing. A single adopter could be considered if they can demonstrate a strong and reliable support network.

Given Max’s early experiences and Cecee’s young age, their adoptive parents will need to:

  • Be open to therapeutic parenting approaches (including PACE)
  • Offer structure, consistency, and emotional security
  • Support them through their life story and identity development
  • Be prepared to advocate for them as their needs evolve

The support you’ll receive

If you adopt Max and Cecee, you won’t be on this journey alone. We offer comprehensive parenting training, including:

  • Beyond Behaviour
  • PACE and life story work
  • FASD awareness
  • Support for family and friends

Dedicated Social Worker support

  • Available to guide and advise you throughout your journey

Priority school access and extra education funding

  • £2570 per annum to enhance their educational journey

Adoption leave and transition planning

  • Including introduction support and personalised life story work

Quarterly e-newsletters

  • Keeping you up to date with tools, training, and resources

Both Max and Cecee are bright, resilient and full of promise. They deserve a family who will celebrate their strengths, support them through challenges, and offer a forever home where they will never need to move again.

If you feel you could be the right family for this incredible sibling pair, please reach out to Family Adoption Links Leicestershire. We’d love to talk to you about the next steps.
