Scarlett (1)

Scarlett is a gorgeous baby girl with a radiant smile that lights up the room. Of Polish heritage, Scarlett is a playful, curious, and sociable little one who loves connecting with the world around her – especially through smiles, cuddles, and music.

Scarlett has an infectious giggle when she’s lifted into the air, and she loves to make strong eye contact with people – her way of inviting you into her world. Whether she’s listening to nursery rhymes, being read to, or swaying along to familiar songs, Scarlett delights in sounds, movement, and the comfort of routine. She’s especially captivated by the colours and noises on TV, often giggling in response.

A true “water baby,” Scarlett adores splashing in the bath and exploring the outdoors. Trips to the park are a highlight of her day – she enjoys people-watching and pointing out her surroundings with excitement. She’s a tactile little girl who also loves the feel of sand on the beach and the wind on her face.

Scarlett currently lives in a busy and loving foster home with other children and a cat, both of which she enjoys interacting with. She’s developing strong social skills, learning to share her toys, and is very comfortable in the company of others. She particularly enjoys her orange monkey toy, shape-sorting box, bouncer and colourful playmat.

Her daily rhythm is well-established: she wakes around 7am ready for breakfast (which she loves!), enjoys cartoons, and plays with her favourite toys before heading out. After some outdoor time, she takes a couple of naps during the day, followed by more playtime, dinner, and then a relaxing bath. Her day ends with a bedtime story and sleep around 7 p.m.

More about her…

  • Personality: Friendly, sociable, and full of joy.
  • Favourite activities: Dancing to music, bath time and visiting the park
  • Development: Scarlett is learning and growing every day. While she’s behind in some physical milestones like crawling and weight-bearing, she can sit confidently and is beginning to vocalise, laugh and seek attention.
  • Health: After some early challenges including reflux and colic which have now been resolved, Scarlett is in good health. She’s up to date with immunisations and has been seen by a paediatrician who is monitoring her developmental progress.
  • Foodie in the making: She’s adventurous with food, enjoys pasta and vegetables, and is generally a great little eater.

A loving future

Scarlett’s early start in life was difficult. Scarlett experienced withdrawal symptoms after birth but has shown resilience and strong progress since.  While she is currently not meeting all her developmental milestones, Scarlett is making strides in a nurturing environment and continues to grow in confidence and ability. She would benefit from a family who is patient, loving, and ready to support her continued development.

The family we’re looking for

We are searching for an adoptive family or early permanence carers who can offer Scarlett unconditional love, support, and fun as she grows. Ideally, you would:

  • Be open and emotionally available to nurture her development.
  • Embrace or positively promote her Polish heritage.
  • Enjoy engaging in sensory play, outdoor adventures, and musical moments.
  • Be prepared for possible ongoing support around developmental milestones.
  • Be eager to explore her life story with her in a gentle and age-appropriate way.

There is no preference regarding marital status, religion, or existing children in the household and Scarlett is used to being around other children and pets.

Support available

If you adopt Scarlett, Family Adoption Links Leicester will provide a wide-ranging adoption support package, including:

  • Pre- and post-placement visits.
  • Access to therapeutic parenting courses and play sessions.
  • A direct referral to the Adoption Support Fund.
  • A dedicated post-adoption team available five days a week.
  • Ongoing support with letterbox contact and life story work.

Scarlett is waiting to meet her forever family. Could you be the one to complete her story? Why not speak to one of our team today?
